The Pirates of Penzance meet the female Pirates of the Caribbean!
Many great songs from seven outstanding musical theatre classics have been rewritten to focus on the conflict between The Pirate Queen and her band of girl-pirates as they compete in song and dance for the Paragonian Island and the fairies of Iolanthe. An amazing production concept will feature over forty unique characters who act, dance and sing.
Along with the islanders, faeries, and the girl-pirates, the unique list of characters include The Great Mikado, Major General Stanley, Admiral Sir Joseph Porter, Princess Ida, the Duke of Plaza-Toro, and John Wellington Mills (the Sorcerer).
Two dozen songs and dances highlight this sterling tale of adventure in the Southern Hemisphere.
All meetings, rehearsals and the production will be presented in the Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre in the heart of the Concordia College campus. Please see the Calendar
Actors must be Age 11-18 by July 4th of the year of production and people working tech must be age 13-18.
